This glorious, painterly beach sunrise was caught on the southeastern coast of North Carolina. It was majestic and truly breathtaking! Frankly, I was surprised with how well my phone camera captured its many subtleties.

Closeup square photo of me at 3 years old. I’m standing outside in front of a cream stucco wall. I’m smiling with my mouth closed and can barely keep my eyes open because of the sun. I’m pretty certain this is from my third birthday party because I’m wearing the same outfit and my hair is the same as other photos from that day. I have straight blonde hair worn in high pigtails near the back and failed bangs because of a prominent cowlick. I’m wearing a long sleeve navy wrap dress that my mom likely made with a belt (not seen) that matches the navy and white striped edging on the dress and a white turtleneck shirt underneath. Also not seen: white knee socks and red Mary Jane shoes.
