Flash Mob organizzato a Piazza di Spagna dai ragazzi del Liceo Artistico "Enzo Rossi".
Alcune studentesse hanno sfilato con abiti da loro creati, scendendo per la scalinata di Trinita dei Monti, mentre altri ragazzi con il sostegno dei professori hanno mostrato cartelli e urlato slogan contro le manovre del governo a sfavore della scuola pubblica.

Second photo of three: Museum-quality mimetite specimen from Morocco, seen at the Tucson Rock and Gem Show this year. The entire piece is about 16" long and weighs about 8 pounds. See the other two images for more detail. This is the finest piece I've ever seen and for a mere $1,700 it could have come home with me. As usual my best collecting is with my camera.

Fog and wind conspired against a beach sunset, but instead we got wind and drama! Lighting info: 43" shoot through umbrella to camera left, held by a parent so it didn't collapse! Ambient light levels we low enough that I didn't need my Metz, so I used an Nikon SB-28, triggered by Cybersyncs. No fill necessary, since the light was so flat.

This guy was the most photogenic of the bunch. His shirt exposed well, his hair always did dramatic things, and his arms and legs were everywhere. Here's my favorite of the night. Minor editing: denoise, levels, saturation, crop.

The famous green flash captured before sunrise. In this case a yellowish flash. This is produced by dispersion and refraction of the light in the atmosphere. These flashes only last a few seconds at best. There're several types, this is an inferior mirage flash.
The spiky "waves" at the horizon are not real, the water is distorted by the atmosphere and that's a sign the conditions are good for the green flash.
