I've had this flash for years. It's not particularly good, but it's not particularly awful either. I'd forgotten about it until a friend asked me to take some pics of their kids, and I needed something I could bounce rather than use the 20D's built in.
Some more skate photos using the flash. I still have things to learn about flash photography. Please comment and give some advice. I use a Nikon SB-600.
The police dispatched a car to warn people of the water flowing across the road on the bridge over the storm drain. Most of the huge volume of water had gone when I shot this.
I'm quite impressed with this tiny but tough little camera, the Olympus Olympus Mju 770SW.

Thanks to Cindy and Halle for the invite. Thanks to the folks at Get Satistfaction and Songbird for hosting. And, of course, the peeps at Terra.
This was my spare camera as my D200 is broken and I didn't realize I could have shot the Leica. Since my D70 L bracket is on loan, the flash was handheld which made AF, flash, nearly everything inconsistent.

Dana was kind and gracious enough to be our model and pose for us, and did a wonderful job.
Strobist Info:
Canon 1D Mk III was in Manual mode, 1/100th sec., f/14.
Canon 580EX on camera (Ch. A) FEC +2 using using wide-angle diffuser screen, Canon 430EX (Ch.B, camera right) on a stand using a 42" reflective umbrella, Canon Wireless Flash System Ratio A:B = 2:1.
Additional note:
The "trick" (for want of a better term) to this technique is to have the camera in Manual mode, use the camera's lightmeter to meter the scene for correct exposure, then increase the shutter speed so the scene is under-exposed by 2 stops ("-2" on the camera's lightmeter).
Now, increase the Flash Exposure Compensation ("FEC") on you flash by 2 stops.
The goal here is to correctly exposure the subject (in this case Dana), but under-expose the background -- as the background is far enough away and due to the rapid light fall-off from the flash(es) it remains under-exposed (by 2 stops).
