This is a test portrait I took of my friend with my O-Flash F155 ring flash adapter. I took this on my Canon EOS 550D with a Canon EF-S 17-85mm lens & Canon 430EXII.
I was really happy with this flash adapter for the price of just £25 including postage! I will be posting up more tests of this soon.
Old flash to camera bracket found on a clearance bin got a new life as a sturdy double-flash bracket.

DIY Home-made ring flash.
There are many instructions to make one of these to be found on the internet and on flickr.
I sugest you google " DIY ring flash" and look at all the ideas.
I decided to make one - I think my idea to use a plastic bowl gives a quick and neat end product.
This is still a work in progress - I must still buy the TTL cable and make the bracket to hold the camera/bowl/flash together as a unit. Finished product will follow.
1X 20cm(8") translucent plastic tupperware-type bowl cost R17.00 ($2.50) (includes lid)
1X piece 1mm ductile aluminium for cone
1X piece 100mm (4") plastic drainage pipe
1X roll aluminium tape cost R24.00 ($3.00) (any automotive shop)
1X idea on how to make cone
1. Cut bowl and lid to suit pipe used ( I used a pair of dividers - worked like a dream)
2. Make cone to suit pipe and bowl size
3. Trace paper template for head of flash.
4. Hold flash against bowl, decide where the hole for head will be and stick template onto bowl with craft glue.
5. Cut out hole for flash (I used the small blade on a swiss-army knife and trimmed and cleaned up the fit with a soldering iron).
6.Cover inside of bowl, pipe and cone with aluminium tape . . work slowly, small piece at a time.

Our friends that adopted our foster Coco (now called Charlie) went to visit some relatives for a week and we agreed to drop by and check on their kitty. This is Sienna, a gorgeous long haired tabby. She has a mind of her own though, wouldn't come out from under the bed. I had to use my camera's pop up flash and high ISO to get this shot. She finally did come out and I got to pet her for a bit before she tried to bite me and managed to scratch me!! Cats are really something!!!
Metz Mecablitz SCA 3000
Very nice Strobist Flash. Some even say the ideal strobist flash. Flash power can be reduced to 1/256th in 1/3rd stops. Guide Number is 40. Ready sound and zoom reflector.
Strobist info: Braun Ultrablitz 34 and Sunpak 36DX in a reflective umbrella from left. Minolta 200x and Bauer 5036SCA bounced for back and right side. Triggered with Yongnuo RF-603.
Fluffy Skirts - Reclined (B&W): More practice is needed with flash photography, this setup took far too long to get dialed in. Godox AD200s in 30x120 softboxes left and right, with a Godox V1p in a Neewer 65cm softbox front left for fill light.

Here is all my lego custom Flashes! The Flash is one of my favourite super-heroes so when lego announced a lego flash I got so excited! But, It wasn't lego batman 2 Flash. Personally I don't like the official lego Flash so I ordered one (and a reverse) to go with my Flash Family. Also not T.V show related.
Barry Allan: Lego cop vest with sleepy blonde hair looks like a great barry.
The Flash II: Barry is my favourite iteration of the Flash so I knew I needed a custom figure. Christo's Flash (although perfect) was way to expensive so, I found thebrickcreator! Great printing and helmet an wings (ABS) but I just switched out their head for a better one.
The Flash: Jay is 100% custom made by me. I used an old medieval hat from castle sets and sanded it down, made some wings out of clay, painted them gold and then some sharpie action and BOOM! Jay garrick.
Kid Flash: Bootleg. I'm ashamed of spending the money but, I really needed the Kid Flash, I got my money back though because the leg printing was basically gone so, I re-did it. I think the tactical effect looks pretty good.
Reverse Flash/Zoom: Amazing fig from thebrickcreator. Personally my favourite. I didn't like the white in the centre of the emblem so I sharpied it with Black.Changed the head to give him red eyes like in Flashpoint. For those of you wondering why the symbol isn't the other way this the original Eobard Thawne that I based it off of: www.google.com/search?q=reverse+flash&espv=2&biw=...

The date imprinting system of this camera is really vintage. First of all: there is no built-in clock. If you want to take a photo with the current date, you have to set it first. Therefore you have three adjusting knobs on the top, hidden by a small hatch. If the date system is switched on by the red button on the top, you can see the date (year/month/day) in the viewfinder. The highest adjustable year is 95.
On later cameras the date is imprinted from the camera back through the film, this Fujica does it from the front. The tiny box you can see in the upper left corner of the frame is the device for the exposure.
(BTW, I learned something about viewfinders, when I took the photo through it. A macro lens set to a short distance will fail, all you can see is the frame in the viewer. Viewers a built for an eye adapted to infiniy. So I took a wide angle lens, but it didn't work also: such lenses for SLR cameras are retrofocus constructions, so the principal plane is to far away from the viewer. A telephoto lens didn't work also: the angle of view is just to small. The best results with my DSLR I got with a small russian Industar 50-2 (3.5/50mm), you can bring the principal plane very close to the viewer with a decent angle of view.
At last I took the picture with a tiny webcam.)
Function Area 2 of Basic Still Photography at Defense Information School at Fort Meade, MD. Emphasizing on flash technique, this area of the course taught the basics using a SB-28DX Flash and included bounce, indirect, off camera, and synchro-sun photography.

The interactive Light Art installation (B12) by Nathan Yong with OTTO Solutions Pte Ltd for the i Light Marina Bay Festival 2014 at the Helix Bridge.
One feature that stands out is the new flash technology. The natural three LED (red, green, blue) flash automatically matches the colors of the ambient light. This means that if you’re taking a photo outside at twilight, the flash will produce a blue light to complement the bluish color of the scene, and if you’re taking a photo of a candlelit dinner, the flash will adjust to expose candlelight.
Due to the natural colors, it also works very well in daytime as a fill-in flash. This is a photo of my sister. It was a bit of a gray day, but I used the flash to add some sparkle. (By the way, those who open this photo in Windows 10 Photos application will see a little bit of magic.)
