Flaming Gorge Dam is on the Green River in northeastern Utah about 32 miles downstream from the Utah-Wyoming border. The concrete thin-arch structure has a maximum height of 502 feet and a crest length of 1,285 feet, and contains 987,000 cubic yards of concrete. It wasn't flaming that day, not at all. This shot was snuck in between waves of thunderstorm. We waited out the first wave in the nice visitor center, watching the rain and feeling the thunder.
We left wondering how old Loni Anderson is.
OK, I can't leave it like that, can I? She has family in Manila, right down the road from here, and she narrated the Flaming Gorge visitor's intro movie. That's how much we didn't want to go back out into the rain, we actually sat inside and watched the movie.
Wrapping it up - I just imdb'd her - she's even older than I am. Wow!

Senior portrait I created of a football player in a flaming chair. I hate the traditional shot of some sports equipment hanging and a senior sitting among all their gloves and trophies, blah blah. I want it to be memorable.

yes, this is a UPS truck you see in front of you. I wish we had hit the stop light together, his grill was also painted and I would have loved to get a better shot.

EDIT: Ok, so apparently, UPS is a sponsor of Nascar. I don't know if this truck tours the country or if there are more painted just like this one, but if you search for UPS truck, you'll find a much better shot of this trucks paint (or you could just click here, or here for a quick link to a good view)
This flaming street magician is Ariel from Argentina (lapulgaenlaoreja@yahoo.com.ar). He does a street show called “La pulga en la oreja” (The flea in the ear), which was a lot of fun and very exciting for our kids who observed him with some real serious concentration.

The Flaming Star Nebula in Auriga.
Rippling dust and gas lanes give the Flaming Star Nebula its name. The orange and purple colors of the nebula are present in different regions and are created by different processes. The bright star AE Aurigae, is so hot it is blue, emitting light so energetic it knocks electrons away from surrounding gas. When a proton recaptures an electron, red light is frequently emitted (depicted here in orange). The purple region's colour is a mix of this red light and blue light emitted by AE Aurigae but reflected to us by surrounding dust.
