It sometimes seems that intense desire creates not only its own opportunities, but its own talents.”
Well I've finally made it back!!!!!!!
Spent a well needed short break up in Northumberland over the weekend and was rewarded with a beautiful show of colour at Bamburgh.
This one was captured pre sunrise and I love the darkness it appeals to me. Not quite sure what that says!
Two gas rings on my stovetop, shot with the lights turned off. Such a big difference from their everyday use.

One tulip from my yard. Did a little indoor photo shoot the other day since it has been so windy around here lately. Used natural light coming in from the window.
Wish you all a fantastic Friday and a wonderful weekend!!
It's been a few weeks since I have had jaw-dropping skies over the lake. On this night, the sky tried, and this only lasted for a minute and was then gone.
For those who think I fake reflections, I don't! In the foreground, you can see a lot of "floaties" in the water. This past week the water has been very calm, and particles are floating.
Also, look on the bottom left for a "line" that runs to the right. You probably wouldn't see it unless looking for it. That is a ripple in the water caused by me when I repositioned the tripod. It was my first shot and was planned to be a throw-away, but by the time the "waves" disappeared, so did the sky color.
The Great Salt Lake - GPS is not the exact spot of the shot.
No comments today – just enjoy :-)
