my girl

I've been waiting for you

To come around and tell me the truth

'Bout everything that you're going through

My girl you've got nothing to lose

Cold nights and the Sunday mornings

On your way and out of the grey

I've got time, I've got love

Got confidence you'll rise above

Give me a minute to hold my girl

Give me a minute to hold my girl

Crowded town or silent bed

Pick a place to rest your head

Give me a minute to hold my girl

Give me a minute to hold my girl

I look at others' pictures and I see snow! Such is Spring - hopefully it comes sooner rather than later for everyone. It has arrived here.

Enjoy your weekend!

When you try your best, but you don't succeed

When you get what you want, but not what you need

When you feel so tired, but you can't sleep

Stuck in reverse

And the tears come streaming down your face

When you lose something you can't replace

When you love someone, but it goes to waste

Could it be worse?

Lights will guide you home

And ignite your bones

And I will try to fix you

And high up above or down below

When you're too in love to let it go

But if you never try, you'll never know

Just what you're worth

Lights will guide you home

And ignite your bones

And I will try to fix you

Tears stream down your face

When you lose something you cannot replace

Tears stream down your face, and I

Tears stream down your face

I promise you I will learn from my mistakes

Tears stream down your face, and I

Lights will guide you home

And ignite your bones

And I will try to fix you

A job that seems to never end when you have cattle. My husband probably wasn't too thrilled when he found out I took this. It was a great way to spend a winter morning.

Derelict House near Basset Cove, Cornwall

When you go to Cornwall on a photography trip this is not the sort of scene that your mind conjures up! I spotted this old house driving down the B3301 and managed to find a place to park and walk back to it. The hedgerow meant I had to give up on my tripod so was really thankful for both the IS on the R5 and the flippy screen Canon puts on their cameras. The left hand image I managed to get shooting through a gap in the hedge. There was something about this old house that appealed to me. The sky was too blue to suit it...really wants a brooding dark grey sky so went for a rare B&W. I was tempted to do a sky swap but resisted!

I was stranded in this beach called Tanjung Berau during my trip to my hometown on last August. I was totally feels so bored with this place. They were exploitating this place with something called development to build huge statues, port and resorts without awereness that they were destroying a nature. When I was there this place has many local people come for having fun. For me is dead end and I just wanted to runaway from this beach.

Location : Tanjung Berau, Singkawang, West Kalimantan, Indonesia

Thanks for the views, comments, and faves...cheers ^_^

[WS] Garage Door

North Franklin, Connecticut

Last time I was here, the market looked ok. But the owner, Stanley Ragsdale (Son of the town's founder, Desert Steve) died in 1999 and looks like no one is taking care of the town.

Note: this fuzzy, wee bee was found deceased, presumably of natural causes. No bees were intentionally harmed for this photo.

I am glad I am not a snowman! With this polar vortex moving through it would be a terrible time for anyone to be without heat, but that is exactly what happened at my house today when I got up this morning! I checked the weather app on my phone and it said it was -24 C feeling like -35 C outside. Trying to stay calm and cool (no pun intended) I immediately called and left a voicemail message to a heating company for them to please come and check my furnace. The fella called me back and he made it over by 10 am. It turned out our furnace was working fine but there was no gas being supplied to it from the outside so that ended up being a problem with the utility company. I called them and they were out within a couple of hours and fixed the issue. I am not sure what it was they replaced on the gas meter to my house but I am thinking it was the regulator. They told my son who was here to meet the technicians but he couldn't remember what it was called. After the end of my work day I was thankful to come home to a heated house and appreciative to those that helped us today to make that happen. While I was on my drive to work this morning I was trying to think positively that it would be an easy fix and felt sad for those folks who are homeless during this freezing weather. I thought, well I am fortunate to have a house to come home to and if I had to walk around the house with a winter hat and jacket on to stay warm then that is just what I'd have to do. Thankfully it didn't come down to that it all really made me think about how fortunate I am.

Thanks so much for your visit! Hope you all had a good day and are staying warm and comfortable.

Another favorite from my little afternoon 'FL9 Fix' down on the Cape.

Ex CDOT FL9 #2026 (blt. Sept. 1957 as NH 2007) is leading a six car dinner train with sister FL9 #2011 (blt. Sept. 1960 as NH #2038) on the south end headed north passing Aptuxcet at MP 56 on Mass Coastal Railroad's MassDOT owned Cape Mainline. They are on the move again after pausing briefly to await confirmation from the bridge operator that he would be lowering the 544 foot span across the Cape Cod Canal that is just over a mile ahead.

This scenic spot sits right in someone's backyard with a nice wide view of the marine traffic on the canal. Overhead is the 2,384 ft long and 274 ft tall Bourne Bridge carrying the four lanes of busy Route 28. It and sister Sagamore bridge to the east were constructed by the Public Works Administration in conjunction with the federal project to expand the canal's width to 480 feet and its depth to 32 feet. Built between 1933 and 1935 for the United States Army Corps of Engineers, which owns, operates and maintains both highway bridges as well as the railroad bridge and the canal itself.

#81/125 restoration: 125 pictures in 2025

Mr’s B is flying off to Bologna today with my youngest son Gianni who she travelled down to meet in London yesterday, this is her Italian fix. A personal journey which always been loved but more so in the last 13 years since her parents past, as the saying goes you can take the girl out off Italy but you can’t take the Italian out of the girl. So I’m at home alone with the pup who is currently looking around for something new to own and chew in my sanctuary photography den, once just called the computer room and in a past life Gianni’s bedroom, life moves on. Missy the pup is asleep now and I think it’s time for my coffee fix which hasn’t been brought to me by Carla as she is current on the way to Heathrow. Todays photo is a tree I’ve photographed many time which deserved a quick snap in the early sunshine on my way to the deeper woods at the start of this month.
