Charlie is all back to 'normal' after suffering a long-lasting cluster epileptic fit last week. It took about 4 days for him to properly shake off the effects of the drug we used to sedate him and he is back to his perky old self again trotting about with a spring in his step. We had a lovely walk today and he charged about like a puppy without a care in the world. This afternoon he found the sunny spot and dozed with his head in the warm sunshine. Thank you for all your lovely messages and comments, thank heavens it all worked out well in the end...he certainly had us worried there.
Salem's Bio:
Salem’s father is a married preacher, and his mom is a fortuneteller. Salem was home schooled because he did not fit in. The children referred to his mother as, “The WITCH!” because there was a neon sign in their front window that read, “Palm Readings, Fortunes & Tarots”! When Salem’s mom noticed that he was being called a Warlock and Werewolf Boy by the other children & some adults, she decided to make them both house bound, only leaving out after midnight in order to purchase food and personal items.
Salem’s father allowed his mother to raise him alone, so he could maintain his upstanding reputation, remain married to his wife, and continue leading his church. Salem made the best of his childhood by spending several hours a day on the internet, and learning to play the violin, and guitar.
Even though Salem is looking forward to living, and enjoying life- he is a quiet and distrusting observer when in public places. His mother has taught him that you cannot trust people. He is well mannered, tidy, and a good protector. He is very knowledgeable about computers, and can fix almost anything around the house. He has spent his entire life living through TV shows, the internet, and books. When he became a teenager, he would roam the streets during the night where he befriended some of the the local prostitute's children, and August- a homeless man who lived under a bridge. Salem would bring August food, and he would tell Salem all about when he was a music teacher, and had a family. August is the one who taught Salem to play the violin and guitar.
Salem has made up in his mind that he is ready to leave his mother’s home, and explore the world. Salem has spent several months planning to leave home in secret. He has been designing websites for people, and selling e-books online to earn money. The evening before he left his small town, he and his mom had dinner like they always did. And, during that last dinner at home, his mother reached across the table to hold his hand. Her eyes filled with tears as she whispered, “My dearest son, I know that you are going to leave me soon. I just wanted to let you know not to be afraid because good things await you!” Then she smiled, stood up, and left Salem sitting at the table.

This morning I checked the daily challenge and saw Elvis songs was the topic. I then crawled around at home till I found my albums for inspiration. Then we left on vacation, and my trip was enhanced by looking for things which might fit the title. I would never have ended up on an alley in Clifton Texas if I had not been searching a jailhouse! I found a better one later, so using this for my 365.

Hygiene products are a no-go for spacewalks in a 100% oxygen environment, so no shaving! OFV (we LOVE acronyms in the space industry): or On-orbit Fit Verification: we try out our spacesuits before taking them out this week. Mark is working hard getting us in the suit and making sure everything is in configuration… and that the suit is airtight. It seems like we’re getting a foot massage, but we’re not!
Ah et aussi : produits d’hygiène interdits dans un environnement d’oxygène à 100%... Donc pas de rasage le jour où on enfile son scaphandre. Si ça tombe un lundi, et bien on a droit à la barbe du weekend. La sortie dans l'espace de mercredi prochain avec Shane se rapproche ! Tous ceux qui travaillent dans le spatial vous le diront : rien ne vaut un bon vieil acronyme. Celui du jour : OFV. L’activité à consisté à essayer nos scaphandres pour vérifier que tout était parfait, avant de les utiliser dehors dans l'environnement franchement hostile de l'espace. Shane et moi avons été aidés par Mark et Megan – un scaphandre spatial, ça ne s’enfile pas tout seul !

Modeling Gold 45 Revolver Gold'N'Virtue Lingerie with the famous golden gun! The Colt 45 Revolver comes directly form Clint Eastwood's/Sergio Leone's Fistful of Dollars--my favorite Western--heck my favorite all-time film, exalting the classical, archetypal themes I seek in all my photography!
She was tall, athletic, thin, pretty, and fit with gorgeous hazel eyes and long legs! Shot with the D800 and my favorite workhorse lens the very sharp Nikon 70-200mm f/2.8G ED VR II AF-S Nikkor Zoom Lens. A slight change of pace for all my flickr fans!

The tall, golden-haired, blue-eyed goddess was modeling the black & gold "Gold 45 Revolver" Gold'N'Virtue swimsuits with the main equation to Moving Dimensions Theory on the swimsuits: dx4/dt=ic. Yes I have a Ph.D. in physics! :) You can read more about my research and Hero's Journey Physics here:

Every photon that hits my Nikon D800e's sensor does it by surfing the fourth expanding dimension, which is moving at c relative to the three spatial dimensions, or dx4/dt=ic!
May the Hero's Journey Mythology Goddess inspire you (as they have inspired me!) along your own artistic journey! Love, love, love the 70-200mm F/2.8 Lens! Holding it up all day, alongside the Sony NEX 6 with the 50mm F/1.8 lens for cool video bokeh which I have mounted under the Nikon D800E camera, is quite the workout! My shoulders have gotten bigger after so many days with six hour shoots in the AM and 3 hour shoots in the PM holding that rig up :). Plus I have to carry all the gear, books, and clothes a few hundred yards up and down the steep cliffs. I count my photography days as two workout days. :) But I love it! Every day presents a puzzle--how to figure out the light, and every model presents a mystery to be unlocked--what are her best angles/poses/actions? Nothing beats the challenge of capturing the natural beauty of a day out there, when the light's dynamic range can change by a factor of ten in a few minutes as the mist burns away to reveal the sun, and then the wind whips up and a fog rolls on in, making it seem like a windy December dusk in July. One must always be mindful of tide, times, and temperatures and work quickly before the cameras get too hot in the sun, or the model gets too cold in the wind, as the tide and rogue waves reach out to grab your equipment/props/clothes and claim them for Poseidon, the god of the sea . Beach photography/video is just like surfing, with the conditions always changing and every wave a bit different. Studio photography is like riding an exercise bike set at level 1 in a gym in front of a TV. And shooting stills and video @ the same time is like Jimmy Page or Slash improvising on his double-necked guitar.
I'm working on a book called "Lone Cowboy Photography: A Humble Hero's Journey into the Art of Photography" about how to shoot it all on your own--stills and video for sports, portraits, and landscapes--with no assistants nor teams. Just you and the goddesses, the heroic athletes, the majestic, epic landscapes, and a copy of Homer's Iliad and Odyssey to teach you of the poetry of epic, heroic beauty. You gotta be ready, son--you gotta be ready for quick-draw showdowns at sunrise and sunset, during the magic hours and in the harsh light at high noon. Every shoot is over the second you finish packing your bags for the day with all your batteries, backup cameras, freshly-cleaned lenses, washed and folded clothes and hoodies, and props and polarizer filters. Every shoot ends the second the prep is over, and the fun, and art, and life of the live performance begins. :) "Every fighter has a plan," said boxing great Mike Tyson, "Until they get hit."

They were a tight fit then so I'm not even going to try to put on my lovely leather jeans till my weight drops a bit if it does. Of course it's my tummy that is a problem which might be beause I enjoy my red wine and triffle so much. Also I think it might be partly due to female hormones making my skin smoother but more fatty too.
