These cottages were built in the mid-1800's and the slates were probably from the Welsh quarries, now more accessible due to the coming of the railway.
We went to Nepal during the monsoon season so it was constantly foggy but one special morning this wonderful mountain decided to peek through the fog. The Machapuchare mountain or the ‘Fishtail’ as it’s known as in English was a beautiful sight at 5am.
