Hey Donna! I'm working of the fishtail braid here, but I'm having a little bit of a problem with my section by the ear. By the time I get to the bottom the section has fallen quite a lot. Do you have any advice that may help me out in this situation? Thanks.

This is a detailed oil painting of a mackerel's tail on a plate, which I did from direct observation. I tried to capture the bumpy, scaly texture and also managed to capture the transition of it's silvery blue scales to yellow-ochre scales rather well, though I did have a bit of trouble with the tail and achieving the slightly transparent texture of it.
