I've been trying to find a decent Friday night Fish Fry and after "researching" online, it was suggested that the VFW in South Saint Paul has one and that it's really good. It sucked. The fish was soggy, and nothing had any flavor. I swear they didn't season a dang thing. Jeremy ordered a burger, and that was really good, so maybe I was there on an "off" night.

Bristol Indiana Fire Department Fish Fry & Bazaar May 17, 2014
Members, Volunteers, Family and Friends and the Public turned out to support the fund-raiser Fish Fry, held at the Bristol Indiana Fire Dept. on Elkhart Street on Saturday, May 17, 204 from 3 to 7:30pm. Carryout was available for those who wanted to take their meal home.
The cooks kept busy frying the fish to serve the many who came to enjoy the food and the fun at this popular event. A number of local restaurants and other establishments donated such things as grilled chicken, salads, assorted varieties of pies, punch, several kinds of beans, bread sticks and more.
A craft bazaar was held by the women’s auxiliary that featured jewelry and other items. Pop, water and whole pies were also offered for sale.
The cool weather didn’t bother those who attended, since tables donated courtesy of the Elkhart Community Schools were set up inside the Fire Station bays. Volunteers breaded the filets, and after the fish were deep fried, runners hurried to take the fish from the fryers to the serving tables to meet the demand for more and more of the tasty fish.
