Mikes "missing an apostrophe" Fast Food takeaway in Killarney. Whoever created the sign above & wrote the notice in the window got it right so I guess 2 out of 3 ain't bad? HWW! Taken for my group www.flickr.com/groups/takeaways_and_chip_shops_of_the_world/ new members are very welcome to join us.
Globetrotter chip shop on a very wet night, with the rain-lashed pavement glistening in the lights from inside the chippy. Another very quick and dirty handheld night shot taken rapidly as I wasn't going to linger in the rain on the way home (but I liked the wet pavements and light windows, so still paused for a few snaps!)
The boardwalk along the beach in Brighton, England, is full of wonderful restaurants, pubs, and shops.

On Easter Bank Holiday Monday, motorcyclists in their hundreds travel to Southend seafront for a friendly get-together, a drink, fish and chips and some rock 'n' roll!
Perhaps more chips than fish... hahaha

Couple of quick handheld night shots of the Saltwater chip shop (which for many years was the Globetrotter, but refurbished and changed name recently) in Bruntsfield. There's something in the long, winter nights that draws the camera lens on a dark street to the bright windows and people inside the shops.

Last night whilst i was making my tea as my bride is on holiday, i cut off the top of my little finger with a Jamie Oliver speed peeler whilst peeling some potatos for chips. after that i wasen't in the mood to eat, so today at dinnertime i went to Efin Elsies the local chip shop and treated myself to Fish and Chips and washed it down with with a couple of Old Speckled Hen. and now the world seems a better place.

Recipe for arriving in Seattle for a Pacific Northwest vacation:
1. Wait an hour until you finally cleared unfriendly customs and airport border control being a foreigner;
2. Pick up rental car;
3. Drive to Edmonds;
4. Check in at Edmonds Harbor Inn near Puget Sound;
5. Take a 30 minute rest;
6. Drive to Seattle waterfront;
7. Order seafood.
Delicious fish and chips served at the Shepherd and Flock pub (a pub that is actually sited in the middle of a huge roundabout) in Farnham, Surrey, England. For the purists, yes, I know mushy peas are arguably more traditional - but this was beautifully cooked!

The Belhaven Brewery was established in 1719 and is the oldest working brewery in Scotland. I'm sure people ate fish and chips before 1860. Perhaps they weren't yet famous.

after the wedding yesterday, Alison and i went to Weymouth for the day. Apparently its the home of Disco Stu. I did look everywhere for him, but i just couldn't find him.
actually we had a fantastic day out. and i'm really glad i got to meet stu before the end of my 365s and that i got to feature him. We've been talking in MSN for a while so it was a perfect day and a perfect way to feature a great flickr contact and friend.
