After hanging out reading the New York Times on my PowerBook in the wi-fi enabled French cafe by my house where I enjoyed a double mocha and apricot bande de fruit, I went for a $10 manicure at Dolce.....which I immediately fucked up.
OMG - I am so pissed.

So I finally updated my iPhone. I hate it. I really do. I wish I could put it back to before I updated it. Honestly I want a new phone anyways, but I'm not thrilled at all with the new iOS7 -.- I realize I'm in the minority here, but I just don't like it. I knew I wouldn't so I don't know why I updated it in the first place, but now there's no going back and my phone just pisses me off. Sigh. Rant over. #firstworldproblems
My evening is mapped out.
The joy of being a small business owner: I get to put on my lawyer hat, and pore over several hundred emails to settle a looming contract dispute, hopefully without involvement of licensed attorneys. At least I have air conditioning. And coffee. And wine!
i was bored and the street was wet outside and looked cool underneath the streetlight so i went to take a picture. it's starting to rain here :( today was the second day of rain. it's getting cold too. today my right hand froze while using my mouse qq firstworldproblems. i finished a lot of my homework today. i think this was my most productive weekend in a while. my breakfast, lunch, and dinner were delicious too. today was a nice day inside i guess. it feels weird to stay at home so long though. on the weekdays, i stay on campus for a long time before going home. i guess i like school. i'm having fun there. but not the classes part.

ODC2 - First world problem.
I really enjoyed this challenge. I've had people at my house all day today so if it wasn't for that I probably would have tried to come up with some more shots for this challenge, it was fun 8)
For Our Daily Challenge.
Today's challenge - First World Problems - Problems from living in a wealthy, industrialized nation that third worlders would probably roll their eyes at.
I'm very lucky to have a secure, well paying office job, yet I constantly gripe about having to work through lunch to get things done. Today's challenge remined me that I'm fortunate to be in such a position, and even spoiled to the point that if I'm too lazy to pack lunch, I can afford to pay (squander!) $10 on a salad.
I'm not saying I'm going to quit complaining, but today I did pause for thought.
PS - I'll be back to comment tomorrow, I'm off to bed due to another First World Problem, stopping at the bar after work with a friend to whine and commiserate about how crummy our day was.
In the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy, as the city re-opened for business, people actually complained because the minimum-wage yabbos at Starbucks couldn't open before they had enough staff come in on a depleted mass transit system.

Leaves on the tracks, trains delayed, late for work .... I used to commute to London and this was the fun of Autumn travel! Now I just have leaves all over the house as the kids love collecting them!

I bought the entire line of The Body Shop's Milk Bath in December 2000 -- bar, bubble bath, shower cream, lotion, everything. If I'd known that it would only be a discontinued holiday line, I'd have bought a million of each. This is my favorite scent in the world, and after years of careful, weirdo hording, I'm down to about one more bath out of each. They came out with a new milk bath in 2003, but it smelled too medicine-y. The only thing that comes close is the Fresh Nectarine Milk bar, but still, not it.
It's hard, living in America in these troubled times.
As you can see in this picture the machine is leaning on the flame which of course is ridiculous, for in real life this would mean it would crash head first to the ground. This is a direct result of solving quite the opposite problem I had before. Due to the weight of the wings, thrusters and back/neck protector it could not stand up straight, for it would instantly lean back when upright. Since I didn't want to do a balancing game I added a pin between the legs and moved the legs a notch to the front to prevent it from doing that.
Sadly the point beyond 'hinge point', where it would rest on the pin and not tip over to the front, is just within reach so the slightest adjustment at the ankles can not be made without going into a front flip!
And I NEED articulation!

My accumulation of lil boxes that are all supposed to connect me to you guys and gals through a sequenced collection of 0's and 1's...grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!!
At one point I may as well have shouted out the front door and hope you all heard me (and toss my photos into the prevailing winds). I had a very bad time of it...then just as quickly as my problems started, they stopped.
The modem I'm using now is ok I guess....assuming you receive this of course. And if you don't, then it's kind of a mute point I'm attempting to make *sigh* Enjoy...

When buying ice cream with "goodies" in it "(chocolate chips, cookie dough, strawberries etc.) do you become upset when you open it and there are very few of those things?
Once again the Knockout Layer, which I would like to bring to the market so to see through the packages to be sure there are enough strawberries in there!
