I went searching for the Liguus tree snail for the firsttime today. I did not have much hope for finding any. I was expecting to bitten by a Cotton Mouth first.
Lady Luck was on my side and I found two specimens. Both on Gumbo Limbo trees and both on the south facing side. I did not wander too far off the hiking path since the side paths are more like armadillo trails than paths.
The Florida Tree Snail is classified as a species of special concern (SSC) and is being watched closely.

Cooked hardboiled eggs for the first time last night. I had a 75% success rate. I think it was cracked becuase of my fault however. I was spinning the eggs in the water to try and set the yolk more centered. I also have not eaten any of the eggs but they look fine.
On a personal note, they are the only hardboiled eggs I have seen that never had a green edged yolk! Maybe I need to share the recipe with the others...
