This cool vehicle was parked outside my office at lunch. It's owner was making a presentation on electric vehicles to the Governor's Energy Advisory Council. Please note: Taken with my camera phone. Related blog posting

The Maryland/Delaware state line cuts through the middle of The Mill Pond, a subdivision that lies partly in Selbyville, Delaware. Lines are painted across the road in two places where the state line crosses the road. From these lines, it looks like the state boundary neatly bisects two homes. A quick check of the state boundary and aerial photography, using the Delaware DataMIL, however, shows otherwise. The boundary does not run perpendicular to the road here, it crosses at an angle.

This is the crownstone that is the start of Mason and Dixon's line. This photo is taken from Maryland, looking north along the boundary between Maryland and Delaware.

I've loved this old brick building in Selbyville which now houses a local business. Not sure what the original use of the building was but I almost wonder if it was a fire house?

I've not yet found the NGS data sheet for this benchmark. There may not be one. It is set into the floor of an elevator in the Delaware Geological Survey building and has two elevations listed, first floor and second.
