Most of our trees still had the majority of their leaves still on when the snow rolled in yesterday. Our Japanese maple tree in the front side yard was no exception!

So here it is folks, the first snow of the year up here in Houghton. Went to bed with a rainy mess out the window, woke up to this. Schools all over the UP are closed, but not Tech, oh no, we can handle a little snow. From here until the end of April at the earliest we'll be burried under a ridiculous amount of snow. Look forward to more snow pictures to come.

everybody has been talking about it's gonna snow today- sunday
and it's true
this morning i woke up with the sound of shovel on the ground, so this's it, first snow of this winter
i have to shop for presents to bring home, so it wouldn't be fun to walking around- new york will be dirty again with the slush and black ice
hey... but at least it's not 70 degrees on december 2, that wouldn't be right
