First Snow :) - Endlich Schnee im Rheinland :)

Explored :)

Have a peaceful sunday!

The first snow fell at night and nature fell silent. As if magic had happened. I felt like I was transported to another world, so changed was my forest. I breathe the cold, fresh air and I am happy.

My forest, Finland.

Snow is early this year to the Pend Oreille Valley. Six inches on October 23, 2020.

Amazing how fast things can change.

Beautiful warm days well above freezing over the weekend and this morning we woke up to snow blanketing the ground. A new scene in just 8 hours.

I know others are not so excited about the snow. Me, I like the change.

Orchard & Welch Sts, Peaks Island, Portland, Maine • Awaking to a bit more than predicted.

These little violas have been 'volunteering' in my gardens and yard for so many years, unabashedly surviving weather that destroys the less hardy. Always a delight.

The brisk air the bites the nose with snow on the trees across the lake seemed fresh, even inviting. Taken at Suttle Lake, Oregon on a calm winter afternoon.

A day of low light and colour, but high on contrasts.

snow was falling ahead of time...

dear Basel, this is how I remember you

A beaver lodge rests in a wetlands area characterized by golden grasses, and surrounded by forest. In the distance, a snow capped mountain completes the scene

keep me warm

All the nights that I gave, clinging on with fingertips

To the love that never brings me no rescue

All the nights that I've cried, singing my own lullabies

Felt like love was never mine, 'til I met you

How you breathe the life into my bones

With you in this world I'm not alone, 'cause

I got all the love that I need

I got all the love that I needed

I got all the love that I needed now

Even when I couldn't believe it

Blood orange tastes the sweetest

I got all the love that I needed now with you

We got 11" (28cm) total, but it has since settled, and melted only a bit, now down to 6.6" (17cm). Expecting it to remain until spring melt.
