We are in the process of buying our very first home! It's the first floor of a renovated yellow Victorian built in 1926. It's in Salem, MA and is truly double the size of our current space. Who wants to come to our first party?

...the tomato plants continue to yield glorious, colorful fruit. These ones are awaiting use in salads, as well as in an upcoming batch of green tomato ketchup (a new recipe I found).

It was a good night of television programming last night, as "South Park" featured an episode about Guitar Hero. This character is so talented, he doesn't even need the gaming system. He can play Guitar Hero acoustically.

The bathroom is ok. I think I'll like it much better when I paint it in cooler colors. Isn't the sink elegant though?

This was our first home! My husband and I bought the #3 unit in this co-op in Seattle. It was half a block from his business and it was the cutest thing ever! A little secret garden in the middle of the city, just 2 blocks from the UW. I really loved it, but it was a 600sf one bedroom living space and we quickly outgrew it.
This is why old trees & tree hollows are so important. They Support a veriety of animals. These are a pair of native australia parrots called Lorikeets (look like a breeding pair), nesting/looking for an appropriate home in a (Native) Euclayptus tree. These Trees are equivilent to say an appartment block, and if so must be protected. I spotted this pair around Enoggera dam, to Brisbanes West.
We got a webcam so we can watch Jet from work -- in case she has any health problems, we will know about it right away. It's also a great deal of fun to be able to watch our girl, and to see what she does all day. Mostly sleep, yawn and roll over.
