Even though it gets NW exposure, it is curiously bright. The whole house has a very comforting, happy amount of light – something we liked immediately.
This bloom is so beautiful it's nearly glittery. Actually, it *is* glittery.

I made Chicago-style deep dish pizza for our Superbowl party -- in honor of the Bears, of course.
Each contains one full pound of cheese -- mozzarella and provolone. It's the Gino's East recipe, with the cornmeal crust, as modified by the Frugal Gourmet.

After much angst, I decided to do brown accents. The curtains tie in the chocolate brown with a stripe.
I am getting ready for a housewarming party next weekend so am putting the finishing touches on the house. Plus, my friend Donna has been bugging me for pics. Since I figure she is sitting down in Texas bored, I decided to post some.
More to follow Donna!

This is the second year I've had this bulb. It wasn't as happy last year, so I switched it to a south-facing window. It is now loving life, and rewarding me with gorgeous red blooms that are providing a much-needed boost in frigid February.

I love this photo. Sheer luck that I was able to capture it.
