My first go at making spheres. Easy when you know how, but I suppose some skill is involved in selecting the right image. I like this as the original image is still discernable.
An old Nikon Coolpix 885 with 3.3 megapixels discovered 2 days ago in a taped up box. Perhaps I can post a photo from it. It shoots jpg and TIF!!??!!

Taken the same location and day as this photo
A mostly warm windy day in the mountains of Colorado near Lily lake just past Estes Park. I took several shots of my son, Tyler, in the grass and like this one the best.
I consider myself an amateur photo-taker who enjoys 'picturing' my family and anything that I find interesting. I feed a lot on what I see others do and most of the pictures I look at are on flickr. I am currently reading Scott Kelby's 7 -Point System I know very little about Photoshop but this image kinda make me feel like I am learning a bit about both photography and Photoshop.

so long, mister Cohen.
Thank you Flickr member "rding tchr" for introducing me to Picnik. My PhotoShop Elements performs much of what Picnik offers but I joined for the collage templates.

The practice round. I finally replaced the old Singer. Whoohoo!
I had an awful lot of old shirts that I really *selfish selfish!* didn't want to give away (I know...horrible). Anyway, I wanted to give them a new life and this will be my first jump back into a big sewing project since I finally replaced my old Singer just before Christmas '10. If anyone has any suggestions on blocks or has any ideas, please, let me know!
Been having a go at this years creative challenge with Janey Lazenby. First attempt at creating brushes/textures etc but really pleased with the results. I don't normally use Photoshop but its always good to learn new skills.
LENZ - a german poetic expression for "spring"
just a first attempt of achieving a double exposure with my fz1000.
easy-peasy. :)
creative opportunities arise...
I'd taken the photo of Izzy on the table, before I'd finished my colouring. It was a toss up to which one I used for today, but Izzy won.
But, here's my first piece of colouring finished. Don't look too closely, I've gone over some of the lines. :0(

I have since darkened this photo - a lot. It looks better, or I think so.
Better viewed large and thank you for your favourites. :O)

This is my very first attempt of multiplicity, so I hope you give me lots of critiques. Be mean ;)
Week 2/52
This is my first attempt at rainbow cupcakes and it was mildly successful. They didn't quite come out like we wanted them to, but they were still the cutest cupcakes I've ever eaten. There will be more attempts this summer, to be sure.
If anyone has any tips on how to make your rainbow cupcakes look stripy and not like tie-dye, I would appreciate them a lot!
More in the comments. :)
My first attempt at capturing water drops. I think its ok how they have come out.
Want to try again with better reflection of color.
Have a Nice Weekend Everyone!
Finding beauty in the mundane—now that’s a challenge! For this photo, the subject wasn’t my choice; photographing a pair of scissors was the actual challenge I signed up for. So, I gave it a shot and tried to make it visually appealing.
This is my first attempt, and honestly, I’m not sure how I feel about it yet. I usually prefer documenting the world around me, so this was definitely outside my comfort zone. Would I ever frame this and hang it on a wall? Probably not. But hey, the point was to take on the challenge, and I did. Fingers crossed I won’t be too embarrassed by this little experiment!
My first attempt at fireworks. This is probably the best one of about 130 shots.
Luckily Doug was there to guide me or I'd have a bunch of nothing!! haha.
I have been taking exercises in panning of late, and I finally got some decent ones today.
P.S. Panning done hand held. Selective colouring done using Adobe Photoshop CS2.
This is my first attempt at 'doing something' in Elements. I just can't tell you what I actually did; the photo looks a lot different from the one I started with.
This scene was actually more blue and the view looking into the sun was quite ordinary. The view behind me, however, was spectacular!
I have been wanting to get a photo of the stars for a very long time. When there have been opportunities to be away from the city lights, it has usually been overcast or raining ... however this week I was given an opportunity to try out a such a shot.
This is especially dedicated to Tessa and the generations of star gazers who have been compelled to look upward and outward and to dream.

This is my step-grandaughter, aged 4. A member of Nyx's pack :o) Hope you like my first attempt at selective colour. I am aware that many groups don't allow pictures of children. That's OK - I just liked her a LOT ! Thanks for your visit, Alan, Carol, Oliver and Nyx - you made my birthday very special. And thank you Christina for letting me take your portrait. You are very special too. And you weren't even 'posing' !! :o)
