On October 8, 2013, members of the Louisville Area Chapter Board of Directors and young professionals group Crossing Generations attended a skills session to complete re-certification in First Aid, CPR and AED. Prior to the in-person skills session, participants were able to complete the reading and test portion online at their own pace.

Day 3 - Mystery Event Level 2. The Level 2 Mystery Event of the 2014 USARPAC Warrior Challenge featured was held at the Medical Simulation Training Center. Events included evaluating a casualty, performing first aid to an extremity, performing first aid in an open abdominal wound and a 9-line MEDEVAC request. The event included an outdoor trauma lane as well as an indoor blood trauma lane. Competitors had to perform tactical medical care in an outdoor environment, as well as treating casualties in an indoor environment with combat sound effects, thus creating a stressful environment. I was walking up Union St when I saw this guy passed out on the pavement outside the travel agent's. Most people seemed happy just to negotiate their way around him and so I went over and asked if I could help. He was blindly trying to re-insert a catheter so I thought that maybe he was sick. I called for an ambulance and stayed until there was nothing else I could do.
The irony of the situation was that I had been discussing a similar situation with a busker whose picture I wanted to take just minutes before this.
day64 a big Bang..accident..with my bike and hit a road divider. Luckily i was safe and was ended up with small injuries as there was not much traffic and i am driving very slow...!!! Please drive safely and take care while driving.

Registered nurses establish basic first aid stations at Occupy SF, Occupy Wall Street, Occupy DC, and soon at Occupy Detroit, the latest in a series of medical aid centers established by National Nurses United to assist and support the ongoing Occupy Wall Street protest movement.
