This is first part of our First Aid kit supplies. Freshly ordered from UK based SPServices.

When we visited cafes or Maccas, they came and sprayed and wiped the chairs and tables. There was no sign of that here, even after a visit by a patient with a sore throat who they sent away for a Covid-19 test!

Kyle Clark (left) put a neck brace on an Afghan patient for stabilization as they transport him to Camp Hero, the Afghan National Army hospital here. The man was involved in a motorcycle accident that left him with a broken nose, broken bones around his eye and the potential for a neck or spinal injury. I have a niece who is a hospital nurse working double shifts and trying to care for a 7 year old who can't go to school because the schools are closed.

I didn't think I'd have anything to contribute to today's We're Here group; there's not much in the way of nursing gear at my house. But then I found this old first-aid kit that I had forgotten about. I discovered several items were out of date or just too old to use, so I made a list of what I need to restock it and the next time I head out to find some TP, I'll pick up what I need. It's nothing very fancy, and it won't cure me of any virus, but it just might save me a trip to the clinic where the sick people are and the doctors and nurses are already very busy. How's your supplies? Oh, and if you do have to see a nurse, please remember to say thank you.

At the British Red Cross Hillington Office learning to teach a new course. It's a new manual handling course. What I love about these courses is the humour that you get between everyone.

Of course there is a wonderful wealth of knowledge here too!
