At first I planned to tie a velvet bow to the bail to enhance the feeling of the pendant being a locket. But all my efforts to tie a nice bow ended in the waste basket. Think I have to buy a ready made bow to succeed....:)
This shows the lamp used in the first public lighting in December, 1879. It has carbonized paper filament, platinum screw clamps connecting the filament with the leading-in wires. These lamps were made by hand in the laboratory. The electric light plant on the steamer "columbia", started on May 2, 1880, was equipped with lamps like this.

The First Baptist Church at 9th & Wacouta Streets in downtown St. Paul viewed from Wacouta Commons Park. Designed by Chicago architect William Boyington, this is the oldest protestant church in downtown St. Paul, and second only to the Church of the Assumption less than a mile to the southwest.

From within the decay of last years growth the colourful Common Butterbur bracts are just beginning to show again.
Minnetonka's moccasins are so confortable to wear and the design is charming. I was looking for shoes for my work, but they were on sale and I could not resist... Love the detailing with beads.
...I just found them in US web site, they are incredibly cheap... I cannot believe how much they cost (more than twice) over here in UK!! This is a crime!
