Life can be so serious when you're one year old!
This photo was taken at a shared first birthday party for babies Sophie, and Drew.
The BC Business Council hosts the opening reception for the 2017 First Nations Cabinet Leaders' Gathering in Vancouver with the BC Federation of Labour, First Nations Summit, BC Assembly of First Nations and Union of BC Indian Chiefs. Premier John Horgan and Jody Wilson-Raybould, Minister of Justice & Attorney General of Canada, were among the speakers.
This is my vision of the event in 1962 in Russia (as described in the book "Blind Man's Bluff: The Untold Story of American Submarine Espionage"), which shows first launch of a ballistic missile from nuclear submarine (named K-3). In fact, neither K-3 (who was only a hunting ship) or no other Russian nuclear submarine at this time was not able to launch missile due to technical problems on these ships. In order not to upset the First Secretary (Nikita Khrushchev), who watched the show, K-3 only served as a screen, and behind it emerged the older diesel powered Golf class submarine (K-142), who fired a rocket.
Night view from the beach. K-3 submarine on the front.
Visiting Bronte Marsh the other day, I was perplexed by some thrashing about in the reed beds and shortly thereafter this Snapping Turtle lumbered out of his winter quarters. He was soon joined two more big snappers.
February 2013. Nigerian carrier First Nation (using Bellview AOC) commenced services with three former Gulf Air A320's in 2011. Unfortunately, operations were suspended in June 2012, their aircraft were ferried to Istanbul. N409AG is seen here, it was the former 5N-FNA whilst in Nigeria. The other two A320's are stored at Southend. First Nation has recommenced (early 2013) with two A319's.
N409AG departed to Woendsdrecht in the Netherlands on April 5th 2013, for Cosmo Airlines of Spain, not taken up, to LY-VER in July 2013.

At the mall yesterday to pick up my new glasses, I walked past the indoor ice skating rink just in time to see a class of beginning skaters at their very first lesson. Precious. Priceless!
