The first I've personally seen this year. I spotted them last Wednesday (24rd January 2018) in Southport's Hesketh Park.

I also spotted the first signs of new green shoots of Crocus and even Daffodils too. All as a result of our extremely mild (but wet) 2017/2018 winter I suspect.

Some things never change, thanks to the dentist.

Rumblemumbles started her job today working in Events and Sponsorship in Tourism and Industry Development.

It made me think of the evolution of her first days.

My advice to parents with small children is

1/ Always date photos (not so bad now with digital)

2/ Note situation information

3/ Note names for non-family members in shot. In 20 years you may not remember

4/ You CAN NEVER take too many photos of the children

The first 2 shots were on film and scanned and the quality is not good.

First attempt at oshizushi (pressed sushi) and inarizushi (fried tofu pouches). The Tuna & Cucumber were really good, and the Eel & Avodaco tasted great, but did not stay together too well. But, all in all, it tasted great and I will do this again. But I need a much sharper knife!

'900' was the first production ADV variant and eventually parts of her were used in the rebuild of F.3 ZE343 and what was left was scrapped as were the rest of the fleet bar a couple that survive in Museums
