I was surprised by how few propane tanks appeared to have burst during the fire. There were a lot of propane tanks at the Lazy Days RV Park, but probably less than half of them appeared to have burst.

This store suffered a major fire on January 8th, 2023. I'm not sure if the store will reopen, or if it'll reopen in its existing building.
Water leaks and fire damage, not to mention the break ins and filth.

This building has recently been destroyed by fire. Stored bales of hay had generated enough heat within, that a windy day managed to ignite them....Now winter adds to the misery...
Taken a couple of months after my last shot of DMS2381, the fire damaged Daimler Fleetline is seen dumped at the back of Bexleyheath garage after suffering a major fire. The bus was shortly to leave on its final journey north to the Yorkshire scrapyards.

Christmas Treasures has been a staple roadside attraction for generations. Hopefully they will be again some day.
For now, Christmas Treasures is a tale of a former home of seasonal kitsch in the ashes.
The Holiday Farm Fire had a huge impact on the communities up the McKenzie River from the Eugene/Springfield metro area.
Barrel cactus in the Sonoran Desert, 4-5 months after the Bighorn Fire in the Santa Catalinas, north of Tucson AZ. The green flesh at the top suggests that this specimen has a good chance of survival. Though its lack of thorns makes it vulnerable to gnawing.

Another view of the 400-year-old Angel Inn on North Street, Midhurst, which burnt to the ground a couple of months ago. As a result, North Street has been completely closed to traffic. This has had a disastrous effect on Midhurst businesses as traffic can no longer flow freely through the town Now work is commencing on restoring the Grade II listed building, but many residents feel it would be better to knock it down and get traffic flowing as soon as possible. It's estimated that traffic won't be flowing up and down North Street for another seven weeks.

The Springs Fire earlier this month left a trail of destruction throughout the valley shown here. You can see where it came up and almost over the top of the mountain. The trails to the left (still green) were just barely saved.
As a place we visit often, it was very sad to see it burn.
Just inside the southern boundary of Lake Superior Provincial Park, near Agawa Bay (Trans Canada Highway 17 kilometer marker 1108) lies the abandoned and destroyed Northern Auto (Agawa) Service Center. The Restaurant/Garage/Store was destroyed by fire in April 2009. Lovebot is the creation of the artist Matthew Del Degan.

The link gives full details of the damage and some fascinating ‘interior’ shots. Below I’ve pasted a couple of paragraphs.
‘On the night of Thursday 3rd May 2004, the church was completely destroyed by fire, probably started deliberately with one of the gas canisters used for heating. These canisters exacerbated the inferno by exploding at its peak. Everything inside was destroyed, except for the brass (it was set in the floor, not on the wall) and the monuments. All else became a charred forest of carbonised benches and calcified stone, shadows and ghosts of what was once there, inside a vast black skeleton.
St Wandregesilius now sits within a high security fence of bonded steel to prevent people from risking their lives in the ruins. It faces an uncertain future, except to say that it is unlikely ever to be restored to use as a parish church again. No doubt the walls are solid enough, and it could perhaps be converted into use as a house or something.’
Bicycles burned in the 2017 Atlas Fire in Napa, CA. Photographed with a Leica IIIc using a Summitar 5cm f/2 lens. The film is Ilford Pan-F 50+ developed in Caffenol C-H (rs).
Found this in a burned down house, it's been burned for ages so kind of surprising to find this still here considering how easy it is to get in the place and how many other new "features" have been added to the place recently.
