There is something so mesmerizing about watching the fire dance and the camera catches shapes and colors that we don't see with our eyes!
We did toss in a packet of Magical Flames to get the different colors.....
This has been here for many years. A very unique vehicle, as I've never seen a bus being used with a fire department. I couldn't find a make or model on this. Hyndman Volunteer Fire Department is a few counties over, in Bedford.
I was messing around taking some pictures of the kids in front of the campfire, and I liked the result a lot.
Taken in the Snowy River National Park about 6 months after fires devastated the region. This section of the park was a mixture of temperate forest, dryer on the ridges but with sections of deep moist gullies, thick with tree ferns and tall with mountain ash. The decimation is astounding.
Fire wave in valley of Fire State Park, Overton, Nevada near Las Vegas. It was 105 degrees and they warned you against hiking, but being from South Carolina I did not find it too bad - took plenty of water.

Performance of one fire dancer with two fire pots during the Bokrijk-by-Night opening between Christmas and New Year.
Bokrijk is a provincial domain in Limburg, Belgium, situated near the city of Genk. It is mainly known for its open air museum. The domain is 5.5 square kilometres in area and hosts an important botanical garden (arboretum) and Flanders' largest open air playground.
Best enjoyed large and on black.

Fire Eater Grand Cayman Island. At our hotel there was a big and very high quality outdoor buffet with a live band and this guy was part of the entertainment. I had to crank up the ASA really high to get this hand held shot up to a decent shutter speed.
