Having trouble finding them, but this morning, this little display out in the open.

Cultivated in SGK = substrate glass culture.

Full Spectrum Conversion, Hoya R25A filter.

quilted, bound and crinkled!!

A place for old boats on the Lunenburg, Nova Scotia waterfront.

Looking like its always been there, my greenhouse sits in all its lush glory!

This shot was taken the morning after the day we built it! Apart from all the surplus bricks to the front of the greenhouse which still need dumping, Trev and i are really pleased with efforts.

My plants are now in and loving the light, warmth and shelter they deserve :-))

Trevs now threatening to take it down as its not stopped raining since we built it! LOL !

While we were in Chiang Mai we took the opportunity to look around some of the craft villages that the city is famous for. The best place that we went to look at was this place where they still make traditional unmbrellas both for shade and rain.

after a sunday off chrochetten I finishe the little critter

I finally decided to use a cotton hand-towel as the border. My partner loves embroidery so I added a little "dream" and swarovski crystals to it for some a little zing.

Blogged about here: www.lemontreetales.com/lemon_tree_tales/2007/07/doll-quil...

Time to move on. This was actually taken at the end of August when the skies were just amazing. We've been seeing fabulous sunsets since Ike too. Looks like Fall is beginning to take a foothold and tomorrow is actually the first day of Fall.

This is probably going to be my last chance to comment to any extent since we don't have the interent available yet. I'll sneak a peak at work and you'll see an occasional photo and comment. Have a great week - and hopefully I'll be joining you this week on flickr again.

I love old hand blown glass ornaments. This little mushroom is one of my favorites. The count down to Christmas continues, and since I finished decorating our cabin today - the cookie baking will begin tomorrow.

Dear Partner,

Your mini is finished! I added some hand quilting, I hope you like it! Now all I have to do is work on some extras! If this isn't quite your thing let me know quickly, I still have time to whip something else up if I need to!

today i finished this yellow and white striped linen dress. i didn't have enough fabric for the correct width of the skirt. i had to cut out panels and sew them together. the front of the skirt is made of five panels and the back has two panels. a steep learning curve because of the fabric pattern but managed it in the end. this time i remembered to attach the pockets to the side seams :)

i'm a size 14. this is a loose fitting dress as can be seen on the tutorial video www.youtube.com/watch?v=iDFRlF_yEtA&t=0s

it was challenging but once i was focussed it was fun to do. there are many imperfections but i've got to start somewhere. success for me is would i feel happy wearing the finished garment to the shops? if the answer is yes then that'll do.

a cream linen dress is next to be finished then i'll begin the coat.

i'm going to make a mock up of the coat first before buying the fabric. the cream cotton/polyester fabric under the orange handled scissors will be used for this purpose.

dressmaking is my new hobby. posting photos of progress to encourage myself to continue. i enjoy it very much but when i started a few months ago it got a bit much with so much to learn and came to a halt. anyway i've had a break, regrouped and i'm up and running again :)

i'm not making any recommendations but thank goodness for you tube

Although monsoon weather in the desert southwest eventually winds down around the end of September, Mother Nature reminded us yesterday that she's still not finished for this season.

El Paso, Texas

Finished & inked, changed a few thangs

My DQS quilts are finished and I'm keeping my fingers crossed for a spart (or perhaps another spart...) from my partner.

I had to cover the up the right hand quilt because it's a dead giveaway. I have substituted with a piece of fabric with the lady saying "I told him it was unwise to make me choose between him and my fabrics. I will miss him though."
