Inside the Keramo Ross tile factory in Taraclia, southern Moldova, which employs about 150 employees.

With the help of EU4Business, Keramo Rosso obtained a loan of €280,000 to modernise its equipment, with the help of the EBRD and one of its local partner banks, Mobiasbanca. The new equipment has boosted production capacity and export potential.

Keramo Rosso was supported by the EU4Business-EBRD credit line, which was launched in Moldova in 2017.

Thanks to EU support, Biox Comerţ has been working to shore up and clean the banks of the river that runs through the town of Durleşti in the Republic of Moldova.

Not only was the work implemented as part of an EU-funded project, but Biox Comerţ purchased the specialised equipment needed using an investment loan made available by the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) as part of the EU4Business initiative.

So-called 'incomats' enable groundwater to emerge at the surface through drainage holes and flow into the river, preventing underground build-ups of water resources. Incomats, which are like mattresses filled with mortar, are highly resistant to erosion and decay and can be used for at least 35 years.

EU support has enabled contractor Biox Comerţ to shore up and clean the banks of the river that runs through the town of Durleşti in the Republic of Moldova.

Not only was the work implemented as part of an EU-funded project, but Biox Comerţ purchased the specialised equipment and technology needed using an investment loan made available by the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) as part of the EU4Business initiative.

Greening the Rubble is a community project in Christchurch, NZ, which unites a team of volunteers from several organisations, responding creatively to the extensive damage caused by recent large earthquakes.

We are creating temporary public parks and gardens on sites of demolished buildings, usually in commercial rather than residential streets. Licence agreements with site owners, modest financialsupport from these owners and extensive sponsorship of the construction materials and design process, make it possible for our volunteer teams to build and maintain these parks.
