The Finale of the Hastings Bonfire Festival Fireworks for 2025. Another great display! The boating lake in front of the big wheel looks like its got water in it but is 98% empty!
Pathfinder Finalé… The railtour company’s last excursion was from Gloucester Station on 20 December 2025 at the end of a memorable 52-year history. The final tour was pulled by Class 52 Type 4 diesel-hydraulic locomotive No. D1015 "Western Champion" with a commemorative headboard.

This is my first upload from our recent trip to Disney World, so I figured why not start with a bang!
Captured here is the finale of Wishes as viewed from the edge of the hub. I knew this was a shot I wanted going in to the trip, so I made sure to get a spot early. I manned my spot while Carrie went to Casey's Corner and grabbed us some hot dogs to eat while we waited. Wishes was fun to shoot and my tripod only got bumped twice, so overall, I was pleased with the results for my first time out!
This was my first trip to Disney with a DSLR and I am looking forward to processing and sharing more of the memories I captured throughout the trip. Stay tuned and thanks for looking!

Hunter was looking for The ACE but the Ace found him first, Broke him into a table then announced his condition for the Match.
Which was a TLC match where Keira (hunter's wife) must be in ring side.
BK comes in to save the day and promises hunter that he'll be there to help if Ace tried to touch Keira

Before we boarded the boat to leave, the locals put on a dance for us. Watch the young children and watch the young man in the front row. He really gets with the dance. The battery in my camera ran out just as the dancers were about to enter the dance area. Had to use my cell to video.
Last snap of this sunset. The sun is now down the horizon and twilight is upon us. Red and orange had given way to blues and purples. Street lights and headlights have taken over the city streets by now.
On their last round trip to Global 3, Union Pacific transfer IG2G2 rolls through the C&NW signals still standing in Cortland behind the final pair of original C&NW C44-9W's 8646 and 8701. These GE's called Chicagoland home for almost their whole life, staying assigned to the local frieght pool, and close to home even under the Union Pacific blanket. On this day though, their time was running out. After making their round trip to Rochelle and back to Proviso, they would be drained and sent for storage and safe keeping up at the Illinois Railway Museum.
From there, they would never haul revenue freight as C&NW units again, as they were sent for a fresh coat of Union Pacific paint straight from storage and placed back into active freight service.

In the summertime, heavy storms are not rare sightings in the Great Hungarian Plain. This thunderstorm was raging in the Csanádi plains (Körös-Maros National Park).
Summerfolk Music & Craft Festival. Held on the 3rd weekend in August at Kelso beach Park in Owen Sound.

391 passes the GTW depot in Valpo. Within a few months, the depot would be moved to a new location for preservation.
'self-portrait'
After the first self portrait with Guy Fawkes mask, i decided that I would like to create a sequence of 3 photos, based on the phases of a dramatic opera.
Starting with overture, continuing with crescendo, and ending with finale.
Finale is the end of the opera.
Actor and mask are separating from each other but the drama of the character became part of the actor, ‘infected' by his ideas.
I try to emphasize this moment by creating an imagine of rejection, a hand that 'push back in the darkness’ the mask and, by then, their drama.

Seeing everyone's Euro shots is having me hanker for my next trip! Bring it on! Then I remembered I've still only posted 1% of my previous Euro trips this year!
Here's the last spot from my last trip a couple of months ago. A fairly sized chateau with an attached chapelle. A quick breach of the gate was required being in a fairly exposed location, a bit of a pain these 'widow maker' chateau fences! Once inside it was a race against the clock to shoot and get out to travel back for our tunnel back home!
