Following on from the last image of Bamford Edge... I don't usually post several images from a location in succession but it seemed right to do so on this occasion as this directly follows the last image in terms of the reason for being there.

A fabulous sunset and and sky on Bamford Edge which, if we had left it much longer we would have missed, "on the last minute" would probably be the best way to describe our arrival here.. I do like to get to places early and set up and wait but a visit to a friend of mine nearby did delay us a while, as did the climb up to here after a Steak and Ale Pie in the Pub.... luckily it all worked out nicely, apart from being very out of breath for quite a while!

I was hoping to get the drone up here for a timelapse of the sunset but the wind had other ideas, it took most of my concentration to watch where I was standing here as about a foot behind me was an enormous drop which I really didn't fancy ending up at the bottom of...

We just finished a wonderful week with so many talented cowboys and cowgirls. And this sunset was the perfect finale! A huge thank you to Darrell Gulin for an awesome workshop!

A rare two-engine, Saturday edition of the YPR60B rumbles past CY Tower crossing 5 Lead to 2 towards Mayfair to head up to the northwest side and switch the Cragin Lead picking off where the previous day's local ended. With the shutdown of the Tribune printing press and the construction of Bally's Casino looming, the days of switching operations east of Mayfair are possibly numbered.

this is old. and was accidental at the time. i'll decide later.

Pumpkin tart with maple whipped cream.

Those tiring of my sunset series will be glad to know this is the last image from that hour long performance the other night.

I think that when the end of the flower has a beauty that resonate in the mind.

We didn’t know it at the time, but on the very last weekend of Denver’s Rio Grande Ski Train, the westbound passenger train full of excited skiers ascends the Colorado Rockies at Crescent on March 27, 2009. Running through the fresh snow this early morning, the train only has two more round trips to Winter Park before it becomes part of Colorado’s railroad history.

Last sunrise of the old year.

Dramatic finish to this years July 4th Lake Tahoe pyrotechnics. Photographing a fireworks finale can be tricky - with so many canisters firing, it's easy to over-expose and blow out the colors. This is the last frame I took as the show ended.

Cheers,

SteveD.

Grand finale of the annual fireworks in Plainfield, IL. Happy 4th of July!

For me, today was the last time I drove an SGM. The old Sprinters are withdrawn from use per december 11 coming. So this was my goodbye of these classics. They will be missed (by me).

To me, photography is usually what I see. Sometimes though, it's fun to exaggerate what you saw into something more like how you remember it. Vibrant colors that pop out at you and grab your attention. Heavily detailed clouds and reflections.

This shot is an exaggeration. It's more how I like to remember it than what it literally looked like, but truth be told it's not really that far off. If you have never seen a southern sunset, do yourself the favor of putting it on your to-do list.

This shot concludes the pier to pier gallery, hope you all enjoyed viewing it as much as I enjoyed shooting it.
