The whole day was spent
Trying to wrestle some old
Film into new spots.
Which, I can tell you, is sometimes a bit futile. But when you're rebuilding your reel, I guess it's par for the course. Spent a lot of time today trying squeeze an old music video into a commercial spot (the next word that appears above is "priceless"), before finally realizing that this campaign is SO old and done that no matter how well I cut it, I can't possibly prevent the spec from being kind of cheesy. Especially without the real guy doing the voice-over.
So, I'll have to figure something else out... But I've only got one or two more days, and I'll have to shift to the script. I'm thinking of applying for the iTVS Diversity Fund with the Openers, but I may have to extend office week for an ADDITIONAL week to get that done.
First thing's first: the reel. Hopefully I'll stumble onto something tomorrow!
I'm sick of this, there's no way around it that I'm aware of - once you interact with different prompts in a Save dialogue in a certain order, you're completely screwed, you have to force quit the program. It's asinine.
