A view of the two final locks in the flight of 8 locks that takes boaters through the final stretch of the Rideau Canal and into the Ottawa River. According to Parks Canada (the organization that runs and maintains the locks), the trip through this flight of 8 locks (2 of which are shown here), will take approximately 1.5 hours. This flight of locks has a lift of 24 metres and is the highest and longest on the Rideau Canal system. Today, the locks are operated by hand, as they were in 1832.

I finally got a day off with no other obligations and decided to go for a drive. I came across this old barn and the fantastic barren tree beside it. Luckily for me it was barren or I might have missed it...haha!
EuroCity 64 'Mozart' from Wien Westbahnhof to Paris Gare de l`Est has just changed direction and locomotives in München Hbf. The train manager is calculating the brake performance sheet of the train.

"Royal Scot" makes its final southbound trip of its week's sojourn on the North York Moors Railway on 2nd April. Here it is going strongly past Moorgates en route for Pickering. The sky out to sea was cloudless, but a persistent black cloud hung over the Moors. Suffice to say it dispersed 10 minutes later and the whole scene was bathed in golden sunlight.
Fortress Treantle, the final stronghold should war come to Bardavve. Currently it is the home to the council of mages who rule Bardavve, but in centuries past it housed thousands of Dwarves and Elves. The spider infested forest and dragon turtle filled sea deters any invading army, and the stalwart defenders of the castle would turn back any that got though the hostile terrain.

A shot of the rocks just below Leather Tor, overlooking Burrator Reservoir. This was taken on a sunny January afternoon during the final glimpse of sunlight.
I appreciate any constructive feedback that can help me improve.
For my final body of work I wanted to create a juxtaposition or disconnection between people and nature.
To do that for this image I used an image where I felt the viewer might feel uncomfortable (i.e. this image because Ella is staring right down the camera lens) and then create a disconnection between Ella and her hands (adding the overlay of the branches onto her hands which then creates a disconnected feel).
Like with the video this is another little experiment that I hope doesn't ruin things for some of my friends. However I gained a lot of confidence from all the comments I got (which was both wonderful and unexpected) so I'm not worrying as much about losing my femininity.
I've always been fascinated by the transformation aspect of dressing and getting to see other girls either in male mode or at least having one or two 'inbetween' snapshots. It's no surprise that I'd feel like doing the sort of things I like to see others do, even if I wouldn't be sure about posting them, and these photos are actually from over a year ago as the final ones in a full 'transformation' set I decided to do for fun before a photo session.
I think this is a particularly key moment in dressing up for a lot of us girls, the thing that more than anything signals the transformation into our feminine selves (and the reverse at the end). I've heard as such from a few friends and I'm sure that's a view that a lot of others share. It just seemed like something a little different to share that might be of interest to some people and hopefully without straying too far from my full girl self.
On 3rd December 1984 four withdrawn Class 46s were heading away for scrapping, seen here at Tyne Yard with 37028 being given the task. From front to rear 46010/52/26/35. 46026 of course being the sole named member of the type, Leicestershire and Derbyshire Yeomanry. Iirc these were heading to Doncaster.

On 4 December 2014, steam is raised on Eritrean Railways 'Mallet' 0-4-4-0 tank No.442-55 (built by Ansaldo W/No.1365 of 1938) standing outside the running shed at Asmara, whilst three Class 202 Ernesto Breda Milan-built 0-4-0 tanks and another Mallet are lifeless on-shed.

Mr Wallace kindly kidnapped me for a final chase of Sunday train 962 - before the time change next weekend makes seeing this thing in the light all but impossible.
With SIX locos on the front (perhaps a local record?), of course it was sunny for the drive down, but the train scared the shy beams behind clouds by the time we saw it at Waitati and sundown was before Shag Point. It sure sounded good though on the hilly coastal sections with the three lead locos running on a good sized load.

Retired Metro-North passenger cars take their last ride on northbound Connecticut Southern train CSO-1, passing by the under construction Berlin station. The cars are destined for a scrapper in Ohio.
The sun is rapidly approaching the western horizon as a BNSF coal empty slowly pulls east toward a restricting signal at the west end of Sterling. Three units happen to lead this particular coal train this evening. The lead unit will be taken off the train in Alliance, NE.
