My great-great grandmother Maria Filomena Campilongo (1865 - 1944). She was born in Verbicaro, Italy and immigrated to the U.S., where she spent more than half her life in Oakland, California. In this photo, taken during WWI, she is standing in front of a service flag that indicates a member of her family was serving in the U.S. armed forces.

That's my beautiful golden retriever Filomena's eye. I must say she is my model most of the time and she loves it!
