Autumn comes,

Bringing with it sunsets

And cool evenings

That make the leaves blush.

One by one

They sink toward the ground

Like fishing weights

In the heat of summer.

Winter comes,

Marking the end

Of Mother Nature's performance,

Bringing with it isolation

And drear.

You became my spring.

but i'm not really worried.

what i am,

is stocked up

on food, on wine, on clean clothes,

and folded towels.

because i'm waiting on some more snow,

and am going to enjoy every bit

of this weekend.

and across the park

is about how far

i'm going to go

if i have anything

to say about it.

am i lucky or what?

i can't wait to try it.

but even if it turns out it doesn't work, i'll love it anyway because it is so beautiful!

And by "cool" I mean the intensified blues thanks to some "auto-correction" done by the cheap drug store scan.

(Yes, occasionally I still shoot film.)
