This picture is taken by reversing my 50mm and holding it against the camera mount. Pretty damn good for everything being handheld.
I was supervising a light hang a couple nights ago and one of our kids accidentally knocked a light (an ETC Source 4) over. The lamp broke so one of my kids took it apart to change it. She called me over to see something and this was what I found - the lamp glass was broken, but the filament was still intact.
sometimes art happens because you try to make it happen, and sometimes it happens because you just try something. sometimes you try something and art doesn't happen within a thousand mile radius. finally, what is art is in the eyes of the beholder. it is something over which we have little control, and this is what makes it special.
First quickly improvised test, a miniature bulb soldered on some printed circuit board. Shot with a Canon 85mm f/1.8 stopped down to f/8 and some extender tubes.
