I have had Lightroom 2 for around six months now. It's about time I learn how to use it, so this processing is an experiment. These two were not getting along, with the "biter" chasing the "bitee" all the way across the pond.
Yellow headed blackbirds fighting in eastern Washington. This fight went on for 15-20 minutes. I thought it would be to the death but both birds flew off in different directions. One of them had the upper hand and was on top pecking at the other's head form a good portion of the fight. I haven't seen anything like it.

Kampffisch - fighting fish
Als er meine Kamera sah, ging er zum Angriff über. Ich weiß nicht, was das für ein Fisch ist, aber ich glaube, der frisst auch Piranhas.
When the fish saw my camera, he attacked me. I do not know what kind of fish that is, but I think he also eats piranhas.
2/10/09 – yeah. this is ok. i really had a hard time deciding where to add color. or what colors. or if it needed colors. reactions?
this was really just a practice. i will probably do several others like this and hopefully they turn out better. and i wish the FIGHT integrated into the parts of the collage more.
anyways...
today was fantastic. i don't think i'll ever be effective in communicating how much i love book design. that class is always amazing. today we made book presses and i talked to my pal shawn about how he bound a bunch of test books he had brought in. and before that was poster design, where we really didn't do much. after that i put off doing my advanced type homework for so long. and i still haven't done it. it will take a while, so hopefully i get up early enough to do it, b/c now i am going to sleep. goodnight.
more news tomorrow.
A Bald Eagle is what was chasing the Osprey, I knew there were a few mated pairs in the surrounding area but I never thought I'd actually see one so close. The Osprey decided to take flight rather than to lock talons with the Bald Eagle, a wise choice. The quality is not great as I was photographing this from a rather small tippy boat.

A light fight on a foggy night in front of Brighton's crumbling West Pier. Beaten, bruised but not defeated.
This photo was taken at Amundsen-Scott South Pole Station during the 2014 Winter season.
I was taking a long exposure of a friend getting into an LMC after dipping fuel tanks and I was able to capture this shot.
Not only did I see hares boxing this week but I also saw a couple of pheasants fighting each other, they use the sharp spur on the back of their leg as a potentially lethal weapon. Thankfully they both walked away in one piece.
Distant so photo cropped.
I only saw them make physical contact with each other once but they would try and strike fear in the other by jumping around LOL.

Sequence of a White-tailed Jackrabit fighting over food. We had up to 12 in the backyard at once. It was a very long winter with a thick ice crust over the snow. Home, Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada. 6 April 2023
