A willet, a shorebird without a shore, flies over a field of golden canola in rural Alberta. It changed course as it got closer and flew right at me, believing I was a threat to its young. They were somewhere out in that field. I think they were safe from me.
I visited a Sunflower farm.
A joy to be among these happy flowers and I took many photos. I'll post a few in the coming days.

I was driving home after an afternoon/evening of bike riding and picture taking, and felt this sunset was worth stopping and appreciating for a few minutes.

Dear Flickr friends, I'm on a road trip and mostly offline. Thank you for your faves and comments!!

Time to post a quieter, more restful image. I took this image as a result of a detour around some local lanes in Ropsley, just to the east of Grantham in Lincolnshire. I had been travelling back to Nottingham having visted my mother in Spalding. I wouldn't normally travel so far to a location such as this, so I used the opportunity for a landscape image.
