Glenbrook North High School "Shermer High" - Northbrook IL

1957 Ferrari 250 GTCalifornia Stradale 1/43 by Model Art

from the film "Ferris Bueller's Day Off"

found it today in a model shop, had to purchase it as it is the closest i will probably come to owning the original.

Such a cool car.

The 2002 Two Rock Opal Head with matching 2x12 cabinet. Only 65 were made. I spent 3 years saving up for this rig. It is my love, it is my passion.....

I never play it, I just wipe it with a diaper.

Leah tearing it up on the Ferris Bueller float. She came up to me after and asked "Do you have any water...or gum??"

I met Ben Stein today at ABATECHSHOW 2012 - he gave an amazing inspirational speech about access to law.

Red. Like in China!

Walking around Chinatown after dim sum is a great idea.

Mostly because I usually eat WAY too much at dim sum.

I don't care. It's delicious.

Funny how when I am posting this Jordin Sparks "One Step At A Time" is playing in the background. Hence the title.

I've also decided this week that I will have a Ferris Bueller Day.

The very first Summer of Film took place down the outdoor amphitheatre here in Folkestone last night (10th August).

We were treated to the awesome classic Ferris Buellers Day off, which managed to win by landslide, thanks to everyone who "voted" (cough) for Bueller, as I couldn't stand it if Grease had won.

More info on the night, and the people who ran it can be found here :

Captured for my perusal. Thanks Jenny!

Wow! Today marks the first time I, or anyone else, actually appears on camera. To date I've avoided people or portraits. I share a shot from our Saturday in Chicago. While at Willis (Sears) Tower we ventured out on to the Ledge at the Skydeck.

At 1,353 feet above street level I was surprised to find very little movement in the building. I couldn't feel it sway, but then again it wasn't too windy. And I really did not have a hard time pulling my Ferris Bueller stunt by leaning against the window. However the Ledge at the Skydeck, that is a completely different story.

There were no signs indicating the total weight the completely clear room(s) could support or how many people should venture out on to the glass. I later learned that the Ledge(s) can support five tons in weight. If I knew that at the time maybe I would have felt more comfortable getting completely int he room.

In this picture Kristen is helping me get further into the room, but I have one foot firmly planted on the interior as well as one on the glass. Lets face it, if the glass cracked or a failure occurred that would not have saved me. But the absence of a weight limit and railing left me with this this as my safest option.

I really like the perspective in this shot. I also like the girl a lot! We've been together for one year this past week and today we celebrated out first kiss. She continues to challenge me and find ways to inch me out of my comfort zone.

Kristen and I were visiting Chicago today for some birthday celebrations. As part of our excursion downtown we were able to visit the Skydeck at Willis Tower, formally known as Sears Tower. Standing at 1,451 feet, Willis Tower was the world's tallest building from 1974 - 1998.

Walking down Franklin Street I caught the sun peeking through the buildings. I was at just the right spot at just the right time to capture this effect. I especially like how crisp the foreground is.

I have never been to the top of Sears Tower, and it's something I've always wanted to do ever since I saw Ferris Bueller's Day Off. Today I took the opportunity to climb up on the railing and lean forward against the glass.

Photoshop the original sketch hidden beneath your favorite classic painting, 7/21/02.

I was still quite new at digital image manipulation, but this contest was a lot of fun for everyone and I think I had four entries, two of them here (also see "Mona Lisa's Smile, And Rack"). I can't recall the controversy now but someone uncovered a painting underneath a famous painting at the time, and it brought out a lot of creative Photoshop ideas.

I suppose I'm a bit of a Ferris Bueller nerd, since the highlight of my first visit to the Art Institute in Chicago was seeing this painting in person ("A Sunday Afternoon on the Island of La Grande Jatte" by Georges Seurat) and staring deep into the canvas.

If you have any questions or suggestion about my comics, please send me a note!

If you don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

Playing Ferris Bueller today.

Need something to do? Read my blog. You'll be glad you did.

"...cameron? cameron?"

Like this top is from 1986 so vintage and the shoulder pads are like so hot. Like how did they go out of fashion? Totally. Like Ferris Bueller was made in '86.

I could lip sync Danke Schoen in a Chicago Parade, while wearing, what looks close to - but isn't, a leopard print vest, if I wanted to.

Anyways, if you've never seen Ferris Bueller's Day Off, or if you've never heard of Wayne Newton, this is Central Park. This was taken from the observation deck of Rockefeller Center. If you look real close, you can see my apartment from here.

I originally had an explanation as to why the title says fall. But I erased it, because I refuse to dumb this down. Nothing but class here.

Bueller. . . anyone. . .???
