This Long Beach beauty was my ride to Texas on a drizzly morning in Memphis, Tennessee. FedEx MD11F N595FE operated flight 1401 to Dallas Fort Worth International Airport. It was originally built for American Airlines in 1993 as N1763.

The aircraft was built in 1997 and was originally delivered as PK-GIL to Garuda on 24-5-1997.
Later delivered to Varig as PP-VQJ, on 29-10-1999. Later transferred to TAM as PT-MSH on 4-2-2007.
It was withdrawn from use and converted to a freighter during late 2008/early 2009.
FedEx took delivery as N572FE on 20-7-2009.
