Originally built as N112WA in 1980 and delivered to World Airways on May 14th of that year, this plane has had a fascinating ownership/lease history:
- used by Lufthansa in 1989
- served for Garuda from July 1989 to July 1990
- alternated between World Airways and Malaysia Airlines from 1990 to 1994
- finally joined FedEx's fleet on September 2, 1994 with the current registration, and has not been repainted since then (note the "Federal Express" titles still remaining!)

It must have been a light load because she was up high with gear tucked away after clearing the field.
I was looking for pictures on-line from the Marana AZ (commercial) graveyard, and found a picture of this aircraft back in 1982 sitting in the desert.

United Airlines (UAL) - Boeing 757-222 - N534UA (c/n 25129/372)
UPDATE (September 2018) - N534UA was delivered brand-new to United in June 1991. After almost 23 years of passenger operation it would be withdrawn from service and placed into storage at Southern California Logistics Airport (Victorville Airport) (VCV / KVCV), in Victorville, California, on May 21, 2014. The aircraft was then acquired by Federal Express (FedEx) that same month. On October 16, 2014, FedEx re-registered the aircraft as N776FD, and would subsequently name it "Keirsten." In August 2015, its conversion into a 757 Special Freighter (757-200(SF)) by VT Mobile Aerospace (formerly ST Mobile Aerospace) at Mobile Downtown Airport (BFM / KBFM), in Mobile, Alabama, was completed, enabling the aircraft to enter cargo service for FedEx.
UPDATE (March 2022) - FedEx would withdraw N776FD (ex- N534UA) from service on July 15, 2019, and place it into storage at Southern California Logistics Airport (Victorville Airport) (VCV / KVCV), in Victorville, California,.
