Me and Jackee with her cousin John Walker. We had not seen John for a couple of years so it was nice to have a few hours to catchup.
I do still have my glasses on, but this also two things I tend to avoid: closeups, and smiling. I don't like the way I look when I smile, but here I am, letting it happen, closeup and personal. :)
A gray day and quiet, With slow clouds of gray, And in dull air a cloud that falls, falls All day.
The naked and stiff branches Of oak,elm ,thorn In the cold light are like men aged and Forlorn.
Only a gray sky,Grass, trees grass again,And all the air a cloud that drips drips All day.
Lovely the lonely Bare trees and green grass-Lovelier now the last hours of winter Slowly pass. by John Freeman
Marina Del Rey sunset in the lagoon area. We have had such nice weather lately that I wanted to get the sunset from this spot.
This year winter has been very warm.By February the sea has been frozen up.But not this year. Not even tiny bit of snow.Oh well, maybe we have better luck next year.
Bought a sandwich today and was going to split it with a friend for lunch, but they were a little unclear on how to cut it in half! Hmmmm, which piece do I want?
Too bastard-cold to remember to take a proper photo again, sorry. Everything today was about layering and tea-drinking!
This week I am using my 16-35 for my POTD... I think if I switch up lenses every week then I'll better learn each lens.
Anyway, Sunday was a much more relaxed day than Saturday. I went to a Japanese supermarket near by and picked up some delicious half-price sashimi (they offer all their same day hot and cold food for 1/2 off 30 minutes before closing) and took a bunch of photos of my nicely set up dinner all ready to use for POTD until...
After dinner, we were watching TV, and next thing you know, the dog had managed to get herself under the covers (yes, all by herself, no helping). I thought that was cute so got my camera out to get a few photos... Except, even though she was awake, every time I was about to click on the shutter she'd close her eyes, as if she was posing "fake sleeping"... This happened for at least 20 shots, no joke. It was the funniest thing so, she succeeded and won as my POTD.
We finally got a large quantity of snow. Unfortunately, it came at an inconvenient time and made my commute home about two hours long. But I was still happy that we got more snow. We ended up getting about 10 or 11 inches of snow.
