Cutting up old comic annuals in preparation for creating the feature wall in our youngest son's bedroom. It takes more or less 5 annuals to paper one wall.

Australian visual artist Michael Fikaris was invited to take part in Feature Walls and painted this fantastic wall mural over the course of the last week of October 2016. It can be found in the Wellington Street car park along with works by Jo Peel, Will Barras and Kid Acne.

Feature Walls is a large scale festival of murals taking place in the heart of the city centre between 22–30 October.
Sheffield has a long tradition of spontaneously lending walls to its most creative Street Artists, which has attracted journalists and photographers to the city over recent years. In collaboration with Year of Making 2016, FEATURE WALLS is a large scale celebration of this unique art and culture.
Curators B&B (Bradbury & Blanchard) have invited international and Sheffield based artists to showcase their work on selected ‘canvases’ in the heart of the city, creating an outdoor gallery of fantastic colourful murals. The artists represent a diverse range
of typographic, abstract and figurative styles and are among the most talented, innovative and highly regarded in their field today, including practitioners from Australia, France, Italy, Austria and Spain.

This vibrant colour is RAL4010 mixed in Crown Trade Silk Vinyl.
Not the best finish to have on a slightly uneven surface but the customer required a tough washable surface.
The trim is painted brilliant white - Albany Trade Acrylic Gloss. Low odour, quick drying, non yellowing and all round great finish water based paint.
A Mural I painted last weekend for a friend. Took around 15 hours, 3 coats and 1lt of paint (she already had the wall painted red).
