If I were nut, where am I ? maybe a spacecraft nut in the far-up sky, or maybe part of a Vauxhall Viva, 🚗 driven around by a lead-footed diva, I'd like to be a Porche wheel nut, wheelspinning around like a big donut. 🍩

For this week's (Macro Monday) with a theme of "fastener" I assembled a selection of small nuts and bolts 🔩 and tried to make them look as interesting as I possibly could.
This image was photographed outside with the lovely sunshine as my only light source.
I got in very close to capture this image in macro. All the nuts and bolts were the same size, although it doesn't really look that way.
I do have a vast array of things I could have used today for the prop, I have a large shed full of items suitable, which made choosing anything more difficult.
I have enhanced the image in the usual way to hopefully improve the end result.

Have been away from this group for a while due to having too much to do and too little time to do it in. Had today off due to it being a holiday and so I spent a little time rummaging around and found this safety pin. I just needed to do some photography as I have been in a bit of a rut lately with the extremely cold weather we have been having.

Insicurezza, malessere, rigidità nei ruoli e calo dell'autostima sono alcune delle sensazioni di chi vive una relazione amorosa insana.
Da un po’ di tempo a questa parte, ogni volta che accendiamo il televisore o ascoltiamo la radio e anche su qualsiasi social, si sente parlare di “femminicidio”. È questo un fenomeno atroce che si sta diffondendo sempre di più e vede quasi quotidianamente donne uccise per mano di un uomo, ma bisogna precisare che si tratta solo della punta estrema di un iceberg chiamato “violenza di genere” pericolosamente radicato nella nostra società.
Questo tipo di violenza riguarda soprattutto le donne che subiscono imposizioni, sia a livello psicologico sia a livello fisico, da persone da cui meno ci si aspetta, come fidanzati, mariti, amanti, proprio coloro che dovrebbero manifestarti tutto il loro amore e affetto, che dovrebbero proteggerti e preservarti da ogni forma di pericolo. Si sentono storie agghiaccianti di mogli, fidanzate, compagne che hanno amato il loro assassino sopra ogni cosa, che hanno sacrificato se stesse e la loro vita pur di compiacerlo e di renderlo felice, e poi si scopre che in fondo in fondo queste persone hanno una mente malata e contorta e sono dei mostri che spezzano in maniera atroce e violenta le ali della vita alle loro compagne, alle quali hanno donato il loro amore “malato”.

I'm becoming hooked on purchasing Celtic jewelry with mythological images. The first Celtic brooch I purchased was on the Isle of Skye in Scotland in 2016. I found this beauty at the Maryland Renaissance Festival last year. The Celtic brooch, more properly called the penannular brooch are types of brooch clothes fasteners, often rather large. HMM ! !
The theme for #MacroMondays is #Fastener, so I went straight to my favorite rusty nail, the one sticking out of one of our fences, and attempted to come up with something at least a little bit different than previous shots that I've posted of it. It may no longer be fastening much, but i its heyday, I'm sure it did its job and held tight.
Found these in my grandfather’s optometrist’s chest. They are part of fasteners used to connect the hingers of eyeglasses. Typically used for old style horn-rimmed glasses.
My Snowbee fly fishing vest has loads of zips.
So it seemed an ideal subject for Macro Mondays theme Fasteners.

The ubiquitous bolt. In this case, three various hexagonal bolts in a row, that I had to assemble into a work piece that I’d made from drawings during my basic engineering trade training at RAF Halton back in the far simpler times of the 1980's.

Macro Mondays theme "Fasteners"
This is a 1.5¨ U-bolt clamp with its saddle and nuts. It measures 2 3/8¨ in height. Many saddle variants exists. With the appropriate saddle installed it can be used on piping, with ropes, and in the automotive industry on the muffler system. Sometimes, having the right U-bolt clamp handy can save the day!
The background color comes from my Valentine’s day roses. Just a little feminine touch… 😉

Tracks next to our house, no trains running for decades. We cross them on our walks, so I see them almost daily. When the theme fastener was announced I immediately thought of these weather worn bolts.
