Day 166 (06.15.2012)
The first of G's All Star games were tonight. Talk about confusing, they were playing Leeds, who were also in green & white uniforms. But there is no confusing G when he is out there! He is as fast as lightening and can field any ball hit...the other team should always be nervous in my opinion....(yes, that is proud aunt smack talk ;-) )
...I placed a ladder on the patio in the morning and in the afternoon I went to put it away and this is what I found.
Well, it was definitely at its peak on Thursday and Friday - see Thursday below for a reminder. The photo above is from yesterday when it was making a mess all over. Still beautiful, but not for long - those petals turn brown and are very treacherous, being so big - you can easily slip on them. I raked up big piles of them yesterday. I guess that was to make up for the lack of shoveling over the winter.

Fast schon Tradition ist das alljährliche Osterei im Eingang des Dolder Grand in Zürich.
Es wird Jahr für Jahr zu Ostern aufgestellt und von fleissiger Hand zusammengesetzt, bis tausende Blüten den Traum von einem Osterei wahr werden lassen. Dieses Jahr waren es übrigens 12'000 Nelken, die bis 5.00 Uhr morgens noch von vielen Händen "versteckt" wurden.
Letztes Jahr gestreift, dieses Jahr mit Punkten.

The pair of Nuthatches were very busy today collecting food for the youngsters and then cleaning up after them.
This pic shows the arrival of yet more food and both parents were back and to with grubs, caterpillars and gnats etc.
