In questi giorni sono stata alla fiera Pitti di Milano dove mio fratello ha esposto per la prima volta una sua collezione di vestiti. Io ho fatto da interprete con i clienti stranieri. Sono stata pagata con tre vestiti di seta e un cappotto!
In the last three days I was in Milan where my brother presented for the first time his fashion's collection to the public at the Pitti Fair.
I was there as a translator with the foreign customers and I was payed with three silk dresses and a coat!
Fashion Queen Barbie in an ensemble I made for her. The "blouse" portion (it and the "skirt" are sewn together to form a dress) is made out of mint silk dupioni. I like the fit. I was inspired by how the designers used to have a surprise waiting underneath the jackets, during that era.
Bath, England. Breathtaking examples of fashion from the eighteenth century. I live and breathe for this style of fashion...I was born in the wrong century...maybe this style of dress will become fashionable again...would anyone else love to wear these glorious gowns besides me?

theres a certain 80s fashion feel to the colors I used in processing, which kind of interested me so I left it. like that I thought it fit with the hat which has an late 80s/early 90s feel (I'm thinking julia roberts at the polo match in pretty woman).
I really liked the idea of this pose and I wish I'd worked with it more to get some variations that may have been more geometric (a la Richard Avedon).

I met a really great wholesale purse vendor in the Garment District a few weeks ago and informed him I like to integrate alot of FASHION props into my shoots and he TOTALLY hooked up with with a great deal on the high quality purses. So, I am surprising him with this poster I made for him. Good connections like this are valuable.
