These are more of an updated pair of lederhosen. The traditional flap is absent and his buttons broke, so he's using bottle corks to keep the suspenders attached. But the crest across his chest is silver-a fancy difference from the usual embroidery.
It was my dear friend Deigles’ birthday last Thursday, so on Friday we all met up at the 'Electricity Showrooms' for a fancy dress birthday get together, it was just so much fun!
I was actually meant to be working on Friday but I managed to blag the night off, so my outfit was a spur of the moment choice…I hope you can gather that I am meant to be ‘Xena Warrior Princess’!?

I made this for my daughter's bday. She had a Fancy Nancy party. Fancy Nancy is a series of children's books that are all about a little girl named Nancy. She loves things fancy and over the top so that is where I went with the cake.

We cut up a fancy pumpkin we had bought and displayed on our dining room table. It was much harder than the average orange pumpkin. Janice baked it and scooped out the soft stuff. We'll see what the pie tastes like!
Hello, this Malcolm (Kwadwo Kwarte) Quartey. This is me! My locks are about 4 and half years old in these pictures, and I still love them. These pictures where taken by my sister, Naomi, with het camera. In this picture, my sister had braided my hair. I guess I could wear this hairstyle to fancy occations.
Every person with kinky (African) hair, who would like to grow his/her locks, I strongly advise you to just let it grow and to use normal shampoos. Don't go to some fancy hairdresser, just let it grow natural. As you can see, the result is quite nice : ))

Mountain Laurel buds. This is a flower I have been familiar with since I was a child. It grows native in Connecticut and was everywhere in our backyard and woods where I grew up. I always thought it was pretty, but now appreciate it's beauty so much more!

I'm wondering if this was taken at the same time as the carnival pictures (1929?), and also whether this is a local football team perhaps given it's an all-male gathering.
Note the kids peeping over the top of the fence at the photographer.
The wooden structure attached to the fence seems strange, unless it's to do with a scoreboard for the Bill Quay cricket ground. Just a guess. What looks like netting in the background is, I think, the framework on a sloping greenhouse roof.
