Taken during a 2005 trip Texas, with Bob Stewart. I'm reminded that one doesn't need a sophisticated camera to get decent photos.

The False Gharial, (Scientific Name: Tomistoma schlegelii) is a freshwater crocodile of the Crocodylidae family.
False Grarial's population is estimated only 2500 mature adults and it's is on red list of threatened species by IUCN (International Union for Conservation of Nature).
The False Gharial habitat areas are swamps, rivers and lakes. False Gharial lives in Indonesia (Kalimantan, Sumatera) and Malaysia (Peninsular Malaysia, Sarawak) but they are extincted from Thailand.
The false dovetail joints are made from walnut. The dark color contrasts nicely with the red oak.
I glued up the table completely first, using a web clamp. Then I cut the dovetail slots with a router table, using a jig to hold the table at 45 degrees to the surface. That was a two person job. Then, I cut the walnut with a bevel on a table saw. It took some fitting, and I believe I ended up with about one degree more bevel on the walnut than the nominal router bit angle. After getting the right fit, I glued the slot, tapped in the walnut peg, cut in flush with a dovetail saw and sanded.
The finish is three hand-rubbed coats of danish oil, steel-wooled between coats.

MEDDLES IN WAR AND POLITICS: “Across Asia and beyond,” says the journal Asiaweek, “power-hungry leaders are cynically manipulating people’s religious sentiments for their own needs.” As a result, the journal warns: “The world threatens to sink into madness.” A prominent religious leader in the United States declared: “You’ve got to kill the terrorists before the killing stops.” His solution? “Blow them all away in the name of the Lord.” By contrast, the Bible says: “If anyone makes the statement: ‘I love God,’ and yet is hating his brother, he is a liar.” (1 John 4:20) Jesus even said: “Continue to love your enemies.” (Matthew 5:44) How many religions can you think of whose members engage in war?
life.
its full of faces.
the ones which loves you,
the ones which sorely misunderstood you,
the ones that betrayed you.
choices.
they can redirect our life into all possible directions.
what is a wrong decision ?
something which makes us stronger.
i thank my wrong choices.
i thank those who formed vague refelections in my mind and
forced me to take them.
coincidences.
do you believe in them ?
damn it.
you will believe when you write about death and how easily you can handle it,
and then the next day morning you find any of your loved ones dead.
life is full of coincidences with mathematical precision.
I swear.
