One of the only days we got any sun, on our recent visit to Northumberland. This shot was taken from a slightly different position, not so close to the water's edge and incoming tide. I like the way the water's edge is almost total white. Like those cotton wool clouds have fallen from the sky!

Another dream of a night watching the sun sink in the west. I had the coldest ride yesterday with a penetrating wind, but as always it was great to get out and see the coast for a few minutes. I can't wait till I can stay down there and chase sunsets again, and pick the fallen peaches. Fallen Peaches is by The Handsome Family.

someone broke off a flower stem on one of the orchids outside. when I discovered it the stem was already black, but I brought it in anyway. the buds mostly fell off but about a half dozen opened full bloom.
