Time seems to be in such short supply at the moment I haven't been able to get out with my camera or keep up with all my friends on Flickr! Hope you're all keeping well :)
first fallen flake of the coming snows of age — is a disagreeable thing :-)

HGGT!!
i used to grow a beard every winter, beginning with a 4 day weekend at thanksgiving, and shaving it off the first weekend of spring. i stopped growing the beard when patients began commenting i looked so much younger without it. now, with retirement and the pandemic, i shave periodically, and the beard, until then, for some reason, is entirely white ;-(

Water levels are higher then ever on the Great Lakes, which has an effect on trees and plant life at Point Pelee National Park on the shores of Lake Erie. These fallen trees provide a focal point on this early morning, with a sky that was incredible just before sunrise. Unfortunately these lost trees will just become more driftwood scattered on the beach at the tip of the park.

These two tree’s have fallen in a beautiful forest. Some could argue they’ve fallen down and died. I argue that they’ve fallen into place.
Beauty is not only found in fairy tales and mythical worlds. It can be found in the most unexpected places, the least expected of times. But that's art's way of doing things. To quote Paul Klee, a German artist, "Art does not reproduce what we see; rather, it makes us see".
Same can be said for photography as an art! And to take it a little further, I'm borrowing another of his quotes that suits this exact occasion...
"The beautiful, which is perhaps inseparable from art, is not after all tied to the subject, but to the pictorial representation. In this way and in no other, does art overcome the ugly without avoiding it."
