Shenandoah is an native Indian name. It means a beautiful daughter of the Stars. The Shenandoah River is formed northeast of Front Royal near Riverton, West Virginia. It is 55.6 miles (89.5 km) long with two forks approximately 100 miles (160 km) long each. It joins with the Potomac River in Harpers Ferry. Since the tree came back to the site on December 22nd of last year, this will be the first time it turns on site.

The north Georgia mountains are "exploding" in color with the wildflowers and fall foliage!

The leaves are just beginning to change color in Pleasant Valley. One small tree stands out with its color changing from green to orange. Purple weeds and yellow crops mark the foreground.
